Liane Jamieson

When Liane developed Multiple Sclerosis, she was encouraged by her late father Jim, to join the art class he attended in their home town of Portstewart. Whilst she enjoyed painting, she decided to return to study at the University of Ulster, Coleraine.

At the beginning of her final year she was forced to take leave from her studies due to ill health. During this time she was invited to join an art group in the Pavestone Centre, Coleraine.

Liane describes her work as abstract /contemporary in style and prefers to use acrylic paints. Much of her work is textured and she likes to use recyclable materials.

Liane has several pieces of work on permanent exhibition in the 'Brook', Coleraine.

Her work has been shown in collaborative exhibitions in the Causeway Hospital, The Burnavon Centre, Cookstown, the Tower Gallery, B.C.H. and The Riverside Theatre, Coleraine.
