David Sweet is a paediatrician in Belfast. He does paintings and portraits as a hobby under the tuition of Belfast artist, Rosie McClelland.
He works mainly in soft pastel and is a selected member of the Pastel Society of Ireland. Much of his inspiration comes from scenes around Bushmills and Portballintrae where he spends weekends with his family during the summer months. David uses commissioned portraiture to raise funds for neonatal services in Malawi.
His work sells mainly through Charles Gilmore gallery in Belfast and through Pastel Society of Ireland exhibitions. He is happy to discuss pricing on original work and limited edition Giclee or stretched canvas prints.
